Mt Ugis of Esperanza Sultan Kudarat
Adventurous enough and fun of trekking why not try the one of a pride peak from the Municipality of Esperanza the home of Halohalo festival, province of Sultan Kudarat and it is also recognized as the Skyscraper of the south by neighbouring places or they also called the "knife-edge" peak, it's because of the thin edge peak position, and that will surely soften or shaken your knee when your at the peak, if you have a fear of heights, the Mt Ugis, stands at, 930 ft above sea level. Mt Ugis is home of Teduray tribes and they are very caring and accommodating. This local attraction from southern Mindanao empire was not just mostly visited by local climbers but by some mountaineers from all over the Philippines. And were very thankful and grateful for the LAMSANERSKIE, a local group of climbers from Cotabato city who patiently accompany us during this trek. Falls is also visited during our trek. it was a very memorable experience, a sort of rappelling, climbing, sliding and even exchanging of "hugot" lines, that's what we are during our trek, so fun!
How to get there
when you are from the South area like Gensan take a ride by bus or van bound to Esperanza or Cotabato City and stop at Municipality of Esperanza and same when you are heading from Cotabato City bound to Marbel or Gensan you will also ride a van or bus and drop at Esperanza but wait, Cotabato to Esperanza is just near close compare to Gensan. And after that, proceed to Esperanza tourism office for more details. and From there you will proceed to Brgy Marquez which you also found the hot spring resort at the foot of Mt Ugis where we stay for overnight before our trek to Mt Ugis. And from there you will take a single motor or locals called it "habal-habal" going to sitio Ugis where the start of the trek is there.

The Majestic "Asik Asik" Falls of Alamada in North Cotabato

Want more adventure to explore around the South Central Mindanao? The municipality of Alamada in North Cotabato has something to offer for you, and don't forget to include it on your bucket list or travel goal their one of the hidden treasures that you will surely enjoy and you will be amazed, the "Asik Asik" falls is right here awaits you to explore and experience the spectacular beauty of it. "Asik Asik" or "Pisik" derives from Ilonggo terms means sprinkle of water. Where you can feel the refreshing messy water or scattered shower coming from the falls. Be amaze and mesmerize by the fascinating beauty that brings, covered with wild green vines plants that it looks like curtains with a waffles decorated and hanging along with the waterfalls, wild flowering plants at the foot that it adds the falls to be more majestic and fascinating, the water that comes from the falls is cold and enough to relieve the heat and tiring trek that you feel just to reach the site, and if you're not sensitive you can drink the water from the falls, that water from the falls is really coming out from the side of the mountain and no rivers or any stream up there, what's on top is the walkway down to the site of waterfalls, it really comes out naturally at it side. Water that comes from the falls goes down directly to the stream that found at the foot of the falls.
How to Get There
When you come from the south via the city of Cotabato, you can take a Bus or Van bound to the municipality of Libungan and from there you can take single motor or "habal habal", "payong payong", or jeep bound to the municipality of Alamada or you can arrange a ride from Libungan that will take you directly to the site of Asik Asik but expect a higher cost. And when you come from Davao or north area take a bus or van that bound to the city of Cotabato and stop at Municipality of Libungan and from there you will take a ride bound to Alamada and from Alamada going to the "Asik Asik" falls.

UK Peak Of Aleosan North Cotabato
UK Peak Eco-Adventure, Cultural & Educational (PEACE) park is another local attraction that you can find in the municipality of Aleosan province of North Cotabato, situated in the Upper Mingading, where you can enjoy the panoramic view of the nearby municipalities, to witness the beautiful sunrise and sunset here is another good experience that you can try for. Outdoor activities, family bonding are just some activities that you can do.
How to get there
Heading from the melting pot city of Cotabato, you can drop off at Midsayap North Cotabato and take a ride bound to Aleosan or you can take a ride from Cotabato bound to Davao via van or bus and drop off at Aleosan and from Aleosan take a single motor that will take you to the UK Peak site. And when your heading from North areas or Davao take a ride via bus or van bound to Midsayap or Cotabato and drop off at Aleosan.

How to get there
When you are in Cotabato city, you can take a ride bound to Awang, Php 15.00 fare when you do commute, and from Awang, you can take a “Habal-Habal” or commonly “single motor” Php20.00 fare per head. And when you are from the south area, you can take a ride bound to Cotabato city when it is a bus, and stop at the Awang.
